The International Code Council (ICC) recently released a draft uniform Model Green Construction code. The code is open for public comment through May 14, and ICC expects to publish the final version in 2012. The code was drafted by a committee representing members from AIA, ASTM, ASHRAE, ASME, building code divisions, industry associations, city managers, planning directors, construction companies, among others.
ICC has developed several codes that have been widely adopted by states across the country. Oregon has adopted ICC's International Building Code, International Residential Code, International Fire Code, International Mechanical Code, and International Fuel Gas Code.
